CONCLUDED WITH GREAT SUCCESS THE PROJECT “Education of Cross-cultural Understanding.”

Last week, we hosted the project “Education of cross-cultural understanding” promoted within the Erasmus+ Programme and organized by “Kaišiadorys School of Business and Technology” in cooperation with AMFI INTERNATIONAL, from the 12th November to the 19th November 2016.

This project gave 6 teachers from Lithuania the possibility to deepen their knowledge on interculturality at school getting in get in touch with the Italian culture and lifestyle.

Though this course the participants got to know numerous tools that will help them deal with intercultural environments. Our courses, developed in the framework established by the Erasmus+ Programme, are crafted to include both formal and non-formal education methodologies. Starting with a theoretical approach to the theme of the course, we proceeded with non-formal learning strategies in order to guarantee and stimulate an active contribution from the participants involved.

Participants learnt how to:

  • classify an intercultural class;

  • recognize conflict;

  • solve intercultural conflict;

  • draft an interculturality plan;

  • program an intercultural day at school;

  • use the Byram’s model of intercultural competency;

  • implement the Italian school system of inclusion;

  • implement the rules of inclusion;

  • individualize vocational training process;

  • motivate students, especially those belonging to minority groups, using improved educational, psychological and communication skills.

AMFI International takes the opportunity to thank all those schools/institutions who have welcomed our participants, giving them the chance to learn and explore their intercultural planning. AMFI Staff thanks all the participants and hopes to cooperate with them in the future.
